They link a taxi driver to the process related to the death of Lidia Gabriela

Last Thursday, November 10, the Citizen Security Secretariat announced the arrest of this 56-year-old man at a home in the Granjas Estrella neighborhood, in Iztapalapa, in possession of a firearm and 47 bags of drugs, including crack cocaine, marijuana and cash.

After being transferred to a public ministry, the detainee was presented before a control judge and in the initial hearing, the capital prosecutor’s office charged the corresponding crimes before the judicial authority.

Based on the foregoing, the control judge decided to take Fernando “N” to trial and set a one-month deadline for the closure of the complementary investigation; In addition, he decreed preventive detention justified as a precautionary measure, which must be fulfilled in the South Prison only for drug possession.

Regarding the crime of carrying a firearm, the control judge declined federal jurisdiction.

According to the investigation, Lidia Gabriela Gómez, 23, requested a taxi in the Las Peñas neighborhood, in Iztapalapa, to be taken to the Metro Constitución de 1917.

Noticing that Fernando “N” detained today changed his route and increased his speed, he asked him to stop and even asked for help. To avoid being the target of a crime, he decided to open the door of the taxi and throw himself, which caused his death.
