Santo Domingo.- The Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for the Prosecution of Administrative Corruption (Pepca) left Jochi Gómez, one of the owners of the company, under arrest tonight Transcore Latam SRL, for the alleged irregularities in the tender for the modernization, expansion, supervision and management of the Comprehensive System of the Traffic Control Center and the Traffic Light Network of Greater Santo Domingo.
Gómez went to the Attorney General’s Office on Wednesday afternoon to be questioned by members of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for the Prosecution of Administrative Corruption, in relation to the Transcorde Latam company and the traffic light contracts in Greater Santo Domingo.
We recommend: Jochi Gómez is summoned by the Attorney General’s Office
Jochi Gómez was interviewed by the head of Pepca, Wilson Camacho, and the Director of Prosecution of the Public Ministry, Yeni Berenice Reynoso.
Upon leaving the Attorney General’s Office, jurist Hiroito Reyes, Gómez’s lawyer, did not want to offer statements.
It is recalled that in August there was a blackout that caused traffic chaos on the main avenues of Greater Santo Domingo, then one of its lawyers, Carlos Balcarce, said that the traffic lights turn off only by touching a button.
