The Sixth Investigating Court of the National District hears this Friday the request to merge the files of the operations Coral and Coral 5Gin which the prosecution reveals an alleged network of administrative corruption within military and religious institutions.
The defendants in both cases were transferred by a large security device, to the room where the hearing was held, which began at 11 in the morning.
It was reported that if the files are unified, the court will set the date for the start of the preliminary trial against the 48 defendants, 30 individuals and 18 legal entities.
Among those accused in Operation Coral 5G is the general of the Dominican Air Force of the Dominican Republic (FARD) Juan Carlos Torres Robiouformer head of the Specialized Body for Tourist Security (Cestur).
They are also under arrest on General Julio Camilo de los Santos Violaof the FARD, and General Boanerges Reyes Batista, of the Army of the Dominican Republic.
Likewise, the ship’s captain Franklin Antonio Mata Flores, José Manuel Rosario Pirón, Colonel Carlos Augusto Lantigua Cruz, Colonel Miguel Ventura Pichardo and Corporal Jehohanan L. Rodríguez Jiménez, as well as Erasmo Roger Pérez Núñez and César Félix Ramos Ovalle.
In the Coral Case, Major General Adán Cáceres Silvestreformer director of the Presidential Security Corps (Cusep), and Rossy Guzmán Sánchez (the Pastor)as well as police corporal Tanner Antonio Flete Guzmán, police colonel Rafael Núñez de Aza and Navy sergeant Alejandro José Montero Cruz.
