Two kidnappers killed and four criminals arrested is the initial balance of a military operation where they rescued a merchant, according to military sources.
The victim is identified as Carlos Miguel Mendoza Hernández (30), who was kidnapped on June 9. His relatives filed a complaint with the National Anti-extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas), whose agents began a telephone analysis work, among other elements.
As a result of this monitoring, the agents determined that the kidnapped person was being held in a house located on the outskirts of the town of San Francisco de Asís, municipality of Ezequiel Zamora, Aragua.
A Conas commission went to the site and held an armed confrontation with the kidnappers, two of whom were killed, one of them identified as Leonel Alberto Avile Navas. The identity of the other killed is in the process of being verified.
In the middle of the operation, the military rescued Mendoza Hernández and arrested four of her caregivers: Karla Daniela Pérez Torres, Ronal David Campos Hernández, Gustavo Ernesto González Matute and a minor.
The detainees are members of the El Ronal gang, a cell of the Aragua Train that Héctor Guerrero Flores, alias Niño Guerrero, commands from the Aragua Judicial Confinement Center (Tocorón Prison), according to investigations.
At the scene of the event, the CONAS agents picked up a Jericho pistol, caliber 9mm, with no visible serial numbers, with a magazine containing four cartridges; a .38 caliber revolver, a bullet with which they had subdued the victim and four telephone sets.
Pérez, Campos, González and the minor were handed over to the Public Ministry where they opened a file for kidnapping, resistance to authority and illicit possession of a firearm.
Two days ago in Aragua, specifically in Magdaleno, the Bolivarian National Police rescued two hostages.
