They kill the owner of Colmado in Mata Gorda (Villa Mella); Dicrim investigates

Convicto matan a tiros  en Herrera estaba libre por juez

Santo Domingo.— A merchant was killed during an attempted robbery in the grocery store that operates in his home in the Mata Gorda sector, in Villa Mella, the National Police reported.

The victim was identified as José Luis Bello Rosario, 43. According to the police, Bello Rosario was achieved by a shot in the abdomen during a struggle with subjects who tried to enter the residence around 1:25 in the morning of Tuesday. He was transferred in a delicate condition to the Doctor Ney Arias Lora traumatological hospital, where he finally died hours later.

Colonel Diego Pesqueira, police spokesman, explained that the initial complaint came from the wife of the deceased, who reported the development of the facts. The members of the Central Directorate of Investigations (DICRIM) and the Scientific Police work at the scene, which already collected evidence and testimonies to identify and detain those responsible.

The authorities, who act in coordination with the Public Ministry, called anyone with information about the case to communicate with the police to help in the investigations. Meanwhile, Bello Rosario’s body was sent to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) for rigor autopsy.
