The family of the Lieutenant of the Bolivian Navy, Marco Yujra Baptista, prepares the funeral in El Alto. This Sunday morning, the body arrived in La Paz from Cobija. In tears for the loss of your loved one, the mother of the deceased cries out for justice. “How can they shoot my son like that!”cries upon receiving the coffin.
Yujra was killed early Saturday morning. According to investigations launched by the prosecution of blanket, the death occurred in facilities of the Naval Force of Santa Rosa del Abuná, in Pando.
Yujra, 26, served as commander of port captaincy of Santa Rosa del Abuná. His wife lived in Cobija, while his family lived in La Paz. The body of the uniformed man was moved there to receive burial in the Garden Cemetery.
The collected testimonies report a dispute between the ensign and two citizens of Brazilian nationality in a nightclub. Later, when Yujra was returning to the naval base, one of the foreigners stepped forward to confront him.
The prosecutor in charge of the case, José Luis Quispe, story to the journalist Kike Navala that “the event would have occurred within the military installations.”
The autopsy performed at the Roberto Galindo morgue in Cobija identifies a bullet hole in the back as the cause of death.
Quispe presumes that the aggressor fled and, therefore, his whereabouts are unknown.
“My brother has been killed with a shot in the back, a shotgun blast. The people who have shot him have fled. He was in a military post, he was at work,” the brother of the deceased uniformed to Red Uno.
