The attackers used a motorcycle to escape from the Agrícola Lázaro Cárdenas neighborhood. Authorities deployed an operation to locate their route and arrest them.
Members of the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico and the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) began investigations at the crime scene.
Díaz Jiménez was removed from his position in the Cuautitlán Regional Prosecutor’s Office because he was subject to an investigation.
The motive for the armed attack is unknown at this time.
