In another unfortunate episode of violence, a custodian of an agricultural cooperative was murdered and another seriously injured in the municipality of Contramaestre, in Santiago de Cuba.
The crime occurred on Monday night in areas of the UBPC Fidel Domenech Riz As reported by a note of the Interior Ministry (Minint).
“To achieve it, they murdered one of the custodians and the other caused serious injuries to the point of believing that he had died. Subsequently, they left the place with 13 animals and objects of the entity,” explained the statement, who did not reveal personal data of the victims.
According to the MININT, the investigations on what happened began in the early hours of Tuesday, August 5 and “in a few hours, several receptions of the flesh were identified, as well as citizens associated with the commission of the fact.”
The entity said that the investigation process “in order to define the individual participation of the detainees” continued and noted that there would be no “impunity for the authors of such repudiable criminal acts.”
Although in the note does not provide details about the alleged murderers, subsequent publications in networks realize that it would be six men between 33 and 43 years of age and that they would have employed white weapons in the attack.
According to a post Published in the Facebook profile “Heroes del Moncada”, linked to the minint, the six criminals were captured from police actions with the collaboration of residents of the place. The publication specifies that stolen animals – which figure in 12 ovejos – “were already sacrificed in gastronomic and recreational facilities of the municipality” and currently the police investigate “the participation or not in this fact of some identified receptions.”
