Four homicides were recorded in Jalisco. The same in Puebla and Sonora.
In Baja California, Guerrero and Oaxaca, a total of nine of the crimes occurred, three in each of the entities.
Coahuila added two. The same in Morelos, Nayarit and Nuevo León. While in Tamaulipas, Tabasco, San Luis Potosí, Campeche and Mexico City, one case per entity was registered.
Hidalgo, Durango, Colima, Chiapas, Baja California Sur, Aguascalientes, Querétaro, Quintana Roo, Tlaxcala, Veracruz, Yucatán and Zacatecas did not register homicides in the first hours of the year.

In the administration that concluded in 2024, the number of homicides of what had been the two bloodiest six-year terms was broken: that of Felipe Calderón with 120,463 and that of Enrique Peña Nieto with 156,066 people murdered.
Designed by Omar García Harfuch, the Security Strategy gives priority to combating crimes in the six most violent entities: Guanajuato, Baja California, Chihuahua, Guerrero, Jalisco and Sinaloa, which account for 40% of the intentional homicides in the country.
