Operation Zaraza 2024, which began in Guárico on August 6, remains active to find the members of the criminal structure Tren del Llano, who were responsible for the acts of violence in several towns in the plains state after María Corina Machado denied the results of the June 28 presidential elections.
The aforementioned operation involves the deployment of approximately 6 thousand police and military officers who took up positions in the 15 municipalities of Guárico, according to information released through the networks of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB).
In its first steps, the procedures resulted in a confrontation with the criminal group founded by Yohani Machuca (El Pepón), who operates from the San José neighborhood, south of Zaraza. The subject was killed as well as four of his partners, who were in possession of four rifles.
The commissions then moved to Santa María de Ipire, where three other subjects associated with Pepón were killed, identified as Adolfo José González (El Galápago), Víctor Morabito Zamora and Greiddy Naomi Fajardo (La Chachi).
Another raid by the commissions was carried out in La Trinidad, a rural sector of the José Félix Ribas municipality (Tucupido), specifically to the La Guillermera farm where they recovered a light automatic rifle and 40 cartridges, according to the report.
Around 20 men from the El Ignacio group were concentrated in that rural property, dedicated to charging medium and small producers a fee in dollars.
Operation Zaraza 2024 has also affected the municipality of José Tadeo Monagas (Altagracia de Orituco), where the Tren del Llano has its headquarters, specifically on the grounds of the Guanapito reservoir.
There, in Casa Blanca, the main building of this resort, resides Oscar de Jesus Noguera Hernandez (El Diente) along with his lieutenants Manuel Alejandro Moyetones Castillo (Cabeza de Mandarria) and Ronald Hember Hernandez (Mata Guaca). It is presumed that in order to reinforce the missions that were entrusted to the Tren del Llano, within the framework of the presidential elections, they were incorporated by Octavio Jose Rojas Martinez (El Fiebre). The latter and El Diente suffer from sexually transmitted diseases, according to sources.
It is presumed that the Tren del Llano was captured by Vente Venezuela, the party of María Corina Machado, to immobilize the grassroots leaders of Chavismo, which was carried out with death threats through calls to their cell phones, according to testimonies.
