Until this Tuesday, April 19, the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) issued a prevention notice for rains with storms.

Moderate to heavy rains are forecast, and windy conditions are also expected. This was indicated by Sinaproc in its warning notice issued this afternoon. The entity highlighted that the areas that will have this notice are Bocas del Toro, the Ngäbe Buglé Comarca, Chiriquí, Veraguas, Herrera, Coclé, Panamá, Panamá Oeste, Los Santos, Darién, Emberá Wounaan Comarca, Colón. Also the Guna Yala Comarca, mountainous and maritime sectors of the Panamanian Caribbean and Pacific.

The sinaproc also warned of possible flooding of rivers and floods in urban and rural areas that are vulnerable to these events; For this reason, he recommended that the population be vigilant in the face of any type of situation that seems to cause flooding, avoid driving at high speeds, not trying to cross river currents, and avoid approaching power lines. In addition to continuing the prevention of not throwing solid waste into lakes, rivers and seas.

These atmospheric conditions will be registered in the country due to the occurrence of cyclonic wind flows that will favor the incursion of cloudiness from the Pacific Ocean, producing continuous rains in various sectors, according to the Hydrometeorology department of the Electric Transmission Company.
