The National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) issued a preventive green alert throughout the country because the rains and storms are expected to continue in Panamanian territory in the coming days.

According to Sinaproc, the alert is based on different factors such as wind flows, low pressure systems and the incursion of Tropical Wave #11.

The entity reported that there is a possibility of the passage of a tropical cyclone to the north of the country, which would enter Nicaragua between July 1 and 2, according to the Electric Transmission Company SA (Etesa).

Sinaproc assured that they currently maintain institutional monitoring and surveillance operations throughout the national territory. This alert will be in effect until weather conditions improve.
