The Panama Maritime Authority (AMP) reported this Saturday, that it is investigating the origin of a stain on Galeta Island, Colón province.
The entity indicated that it made a tour in the Bahía Las Minas area, after receiving information about possible contamination.
After water and land tours, some points of contamination were observed on Galeta Island and the area known as La Meseta, the AMP said in a statement.
Procedures were activated to clean the area, using biodegradable products, said the entity.
