There are already 303 homicides perpetrated this year in the different communes of the capital of Antioquia.

The city registered two homicides of street dwellers in separate events, occurring in a strip of less than 24 hoursraising to 303 the number of people killed in Medellin so far this year.

The first attack occurred in Carrera 53 with Calle 56a neuralgic area of the Center known as the ‘Bronx’.
The victim, a still unidentified man, was approached by an attacker while he was on the sidewalk. According to preliminary information, after a brief verbal exchange, the subject gave him a fatal stab in the thorax. The man was assisted by a surveillance patrol that immediately took him to the Polyclinicwhere he arrived without vital signs.
Police action, with the support of the security cameras of the sector, allowed the capture of the alleged aggressor shortly after the incident. It is a 18 year old young man who presented judicial notes.
He second homicide showed up in the neighborhood The PicachoCommune 6 (October Twelfth).
The victim, apparently also a street dweller, was intercepted by two men on board a motorcycle in the Carrera 96b with Calle 81. The attackers shot him and escaped while the injured man was taken to a care center, where passed away.
The authorities reiterate the call to citizens to collaborate with information that will clarify these recent murders in the city.
