La Vega.– The authorities investigate the death of the rancher Mateo Ulerioof 58 yearswhose body was found inside a septic tank on his farm, located in the community of Cabirmota.
Operation underway
Members of the National Police and of the Central Research Directorate (Dicrim) They deployed an operation to locate the main suspect: an employee of Haitian nationality who had been working on the farm for approximately 15 days and who is currently a fugitive with his partner.
Finding of the body
According to family members, the alert arose when the producer’s wife noticed that he did not return home to take his medication and that his cell phone remained off. Later, relatives went to the property and found it open..
Amauri Ulerio, nephew of the deceased, explained that during the search they found the rancher’s cap in the front of the farm. Hours later, when checking the septic tank, they located the body.
Ongoing investigation
Relatives indicated that the suspect had offered a version in which he mentioned the alleged participation of several armed people, an explanation that is being evaluated by investigators.
The body was taken to National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif)in Santiago, for the corresponding autopsy, while the authorities continue the investigations to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
