PDVSA Gas reported via social networks that a special team was appointed to investigate the causes of the fire registered in the afternoon of this Tuesday, April 4, at the San Joaquín gas extraction plant, located on the Anaco-Santa Ana highway, in the center of Anzoátegui state.
In the statement published this Wednesday, the subsidiary explained that the fire occurred in area 440 of the aforementioned plant, as a result of a failure in Loop 26”, of the Anaco-Jose gas pipeline, San Joaquín-Río Anaco Cryogenic section.
In the same way, the company reported that the PDVSA Gas operations and fire teams were in charge of extinguishing the fire in a few minutes and confirms that the incident did not leave fatalities or injuries.
It clarifies in the document that there is no cause for alarm and urges the community not to echo unofficial information.
It was learned that the administrative and military personnel of the plant, inaugurated 38 years ago, were evacuated from the facilities due to industrial security measures.
