Santiago.- The Technical Department of the Fire Department of this city is investigating the cause of the fire that yesterday afternoon reduced eight houses and a tire shop to ashes in the Nueva York Chiquito neighborhood, Nibaje sector.
The fire did not leave human losses to regret or injuries, but the affected families, with limited economic resources. They lost all the household items.
The fire, which started after 2:00 on Monday afternoon, was extinguished by units of the Nibaje Fire Department, Civil Defense and volunteers.
According to the preliminary report, 8 houses and a tire shop were destroyed by a fire that lasted until late Monday afternoon, leaving eight families without their homes.
