They investigate emails to schools with alleged bomb threats

The National Police, through its investigation and intelligence agencies, verify the massive sending of emails to schools in the capital city and Panama Pacifico, with threats of explosive devices.

Several schools that received these emails immediately contacted the National Police, activating the security protocol in the event of this type of alert, which contemplates the eviction of people and the verification of the place by suitable police personnel.

The emails received maintain the same content of the presence of explosive devices.

The specialized units in Cybercrime, together with the Public Ministry, continue to carry out the investigations.

The schools were verified without locating artifacts that threaten the safety of people. The security protocol is still maintained in some schools; while others have already resumed their activities.

Commissioner Juan Arango, Chief of the San Francisco Police Zone, said “We call on the general public not to give rise to these distracting elements that seek to create chaos and unrest in the population, possibly to commit other criminal acts.” , he pointed out,
