In order to improve the attention of the peasant community of Chilloroya (Chumbivilcas), its local authorities, together with the regional governor of Cusco and representatives of the mining company Hudbay Peru and the population, inaugurated a modern establishment of health which will benefit more than 1,500 people.
The new health infrastructure had an investment of more than S/17 million, which was financed and executed by Hudbay Peru, through the mechanism of tax works (OX).
The extension of the new health establishment includes operational areas such as external consultation, emergencies and emergencies, clinical pathology, pharmacy, cold chain, maternal house and multipurpose room, among others.
During the inauguration of the Health Establishment, the regional governor of Cusco, Werner Salcedo, highlighted the work executed together the company and the Chilloroya community for the development of this important project.
“Thanks to the mineral of this land this work becomes a reality. After 14 years we have concluded a work longed for by this town,” he said.
For his part, the Community Relations Manager of Hudbay Peru, Victor Cotrina, highlighted the importance of joint work between regional and local authorities to close social gaps. “From Hudbay Peru we are convinced that closing gaps is very important. Working hand with regional and local authorities, we will achieve this goal,” he added.
