Given the bankruptcy situation of Casa de Galicia and the negotiations carried out within the framework of the Salary Council regarding the distribution of medical workers, the Surgical Anesthetic Union announced that it is working together with the medical unions and the Executive Power, with the purpose of negotiating the mechanisms and contracting conditions that guarantee the absorption of the largest number of doctors.
“They have tried to agree on positions that guarantee not only the hourly charges, but also the remuneration of the doctors involved, expressly contemplating the particularities of the anesthetic-surgical specialties and the variable composition of their salaries,” the SAQ said in a statement.
In this sense, the union highlighted that it has defended “the maintenance of the necessary medical human resources to guarantee the assistance of the redistributed Casa de Galicia users, applying the average of human resources that is used in the National Integrated Health System (SNIS) , guaranteeing the largest number of jobs for doctors who perform functions at Casa de Galicia”.
For the distribution of doctors, the SAQ has defended the application of different criteria for assigning workers applied in each specialty “so as not to exclude any category of doctor for the offer of new jobs and trying in particular to propose nuances regarding medical approaches to address the reality of surgical anesthetic workers”.
The SAQ has held a negotiation meeting with the companies in the sector and the Executive Power, which “although it did not imply definitive advances, will continue in the coming days”
“Regardless of what the results of the negotiation are, we will defend in all instances an equitable treatment that takes into account the labor particularities of our group,” said the SAQ.
