The Mayor’s Office of Caracas inspected this Friday the Manga Joba and Plan de Manzano communities, both sectors belonging to the Sucre parish, in Caracas, which suffered damage to their land after the heavy rains recorded in the country.
The mayor of the Bolivarian Libertador municipality, A/J Carmen Meléndez, through her account on the social network Twitter, @perfect managementhighlighted, in relation to Manga Joba, that thanks to the rapid action of the Citizen Security agencies and the leadership of the area, they managed to rescue the families at risk.
“The streams in the area caused material damage and the people affected or at risk will be safe in solidarity shelters, while we manage to solve their situation,” says the mayor in the published message.

Likewise, Meléndez indicated that the affected structures will be demolished to avoid future risk situations.
He also said that they are in dialogue with other families in the areas that are at risk to be transferred to solidarity shelters, while they solve the situation.
At the same time, he visited the Plan de Manzano community to verify the adaptation work that is being carried out in the area for prevention in terms of risk management.
