The director of the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc), Carlos Rumbo, carried out on Tuesday morning, together with specialized personnel, the pertinent evaluations of several buildings and homes that were affected by the rain and strong winds that were registered in the province. de Colón, while humanitarian aid was brought to families from Chiriquí and Colón who were affected by the rains and roof detachment in the last 72 hours.

The director of Sinaproc indicated that the inspection was carried out with specialists from the institution and the Ministry of Housing and Territorial Planning to have a census, in order to make an evaluation to bring humanitarian aid to the families that were affected.

Rumbo recommended that the population avoid occupying or residing in homes or buildings that have been condemned by the Miviot, because they endanger both their physical integrity and their health.

He explained that as a result of the strong winds seven trees fell on the road that were removed by the Task Force and also, there was detachment of the roof in several buildings. Most of the damage occurred in buildings, mainly in the center of the city.

On the other hand, in the province of Chiriquí, Sinaproc also carries out technical evaluations with Miviot, the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Public Works of the possible causes that caused the floods suffered for the second time by families in the La Grove, village of San Pablo Viejo, district of David.

Sinaproc in Chiriquí also brought humanitarian aid to more than 1,400 people who were affected by the weekend rains in Jacú, district of Aserrío de Gariché, district of Bugaba, in El Muro, district of Alanje and the community of La Arboleda. , district of San Pablo Viejo, district of David.
