The leader of the Expanded Program on Immunizations (PAI), of the Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Héctor Castro, insists that the entire eligible population be vaccinated against COVID-19, and, in addition to receiving the first and second doses, urges them to complete the scheme with the booster doses in the established time, before the increase in cases, to avoid the development of serious conditions and, consequently, reduce the possibility of dying from this cause. Just as important, access to the dose against influenza.

The dose against influenza is applied to the population 6 months of age and older, and the antiCOVID-19 dose to people 5 years of age and older.
In Asunción, this Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., they will apply the flu and anticovid in the vaccination centers of the following establishments:
– Loma Pytã Maternal and Child Hospital.
– Holy Trinity Maternal and Child Hospital.
– Barrio Obrero General Hospital.
– San Pablo Maternal and Child General Hospital (new building).
– Regional Vaccination (Brazil almost Fulgencio R. Moreno).
Vaccination against COVID-19:
First dose:
Aimed at people ages 5 and up.
• Pediatric Pfizer and Coronavac, for children from 5 to 11 years old.
• Coronavac, for teenagers from 12 to 17 years old.
• Pregnant adolescents: with 12 weeks of gestation onwards (they must present a medical certificate with signature and seal), the application will continue according to the messenger RNA platform, upon the arrival of new doses in the country.
• AstraZeneca, for people 18 years and older.
Requirements for COVID-19 vaccination (not necessary for the regular schedule):
Girls, boys and adolescents (5 to 17 years old) must be accompanied by one of their parents or legal guardian, present identity card of the adult and child or adolescent, photocopy of the birth certificate or family book, or photocopy of the judicial resolution, in the case of the guardian or temporary guardian. If there is no birth certificate or any documentation that supports the affiliation, the adult companion may sign a sworn statement that certifies the affiliation or the degree of kinship with the adolescent (with the photocopy of the identity card of the adult and the adolescent ). Second dose:
Aimed at all people 12 years of age and older, who have completed the minimum interval of 3 or 4 weeks, depending on the platform received, from the application of the first dose:
• Pfizer: 3 weeks, depending on availability of messenger RNA vaccine arrival.
• Other platforms: 4 weeks.
Second pediatric dose:
Aimed at boys and girls from 5 to 11 years old who have completed their minimum interval of 4 or 8 weeks, depending on the platform received, from the application of the first dose:
• Pfizer: 8 weeks.
• Coronavac: 4 weeks.
third dose
• They will receive AstraZeneca, all people aged 18 and over who have completed their regimen in Paraguay or abroad and health personnel, with any platform, with a minimum interval of 4 months from the application of the second dose.
Observation
Adolescents from 12 to 17 years of age, pregnant women from 12 weeks of gestation onwards and people who received the Janssen vaccine, may receive the Moderna platform as their first booster dose, upon arrival in the country, with a minimum interval of 4 months.
Persons vaccinated abroad. For the corresponding planning, you must:
1- Enter to www.vaccinate.gov.py and register in the “vaccinated abroad” section. Once your data is registered, it will be validated by the Expanded Immunization Program, within 24 hours, following the National Vaccination Plan against COVID-19 and depending on the availability of the requested vaccine.
2- Check if it is enabled. Login again to www.vaccinate.gov.py and access the section CONSULT REGISTRATION and, then, VACCINATED ABROAD. When the word ENABLED appears, they can go to the designated vaccination center in the Health Region.
3- Once enabled, they will be able to access the third dose.
Second booster dose, aimed at:
All those people 18 years of age and older who have completed four months since the application of the third dose of anticovid, or first booster dose, either in the country or abroad.
Regardless of which platform you have received, the second booster dose will be given as available.
