In total, 2,864.55 kilos of marijuana and 7,700 kilos of cocaine were incinerated in the presence of MP prosecutors

The drug shipment seized four days ago off the coast of Falcón was incinerated in the presence of prosecutors from the Public Ministry.

The cache belonged to the cartel of La Guajira, Colombia, according to investigations.

The head of the National Anti-Drug Command, Alberto Matheus, provided the information and posted photographs of the procedure carried out at Cabo San Román (Falcón).

In total, 2,864.55 kilos of marijuana and 7,700 kilos of cocaine were incinerated. Marijuana is the largest consignment seized in the last 10 years, according to the head of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Ceofanb), Daniel Hernández Lárez.

For its part, the Public Ministry charged the 12 Venezuelans who transported that drug shipment from Colombia.
