The Judicial Office of Permanent Care Services of San Pedro de Macoris imposed this Wednesday three months of preventive detention against the professor Fernando Altagracia Peña Eusebioaccused of raping and sexually assaulting a student 13 years old.
However, Peña Eusebio denied the accusations and maintains his innocence.
Judge Darlis Altagracia Eusebio imposed preventive detention on Peña Eusebio based on the evidence provided by the Public Ministrywhich link them to the sexual violation of the teenager, whose name is omitted for legal reasons.
The court ordered the prisoner to be served at the Correction and Rehabilitation Center (CCR) of San Pedro de Macorís.
Professor Peña Eusebio is accused of violating articles 330 and 331 of the Dominican Penal Code, and article 396, letters A, B, C, of the Code for the Protection and Fundamental Rights of Children and Adolescents (Law 136-03).

The accused was arrested in the course of the investigation being carried out against him by the Comprehensive Care Unit for Gender, Domestic Violence and Sexual Crimes of the judicial district of San Pedro de Macorís for the acts committed against the victim. Another teacher who is also credited with raping the teenager is on the run.
He says he is innocent
Upon leaving the hearing, Peña Eusebio, with tears in his eyes, assured the press that he is innocent.
