The Anti-Corruption and Good Government Secretariat imposed what is considered one of the most severe sanctions recorded so far in the current administration on the supplier Saúl Hernández González, who was fined 3 million 197 thousand 386 pesos and disqualified for 57 months from participating in contracting procedures with the federal public administration.

According to a resolution published yesterday in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF), the punishment derives from the breach of a 2024 contract related to the leasing of land vehicles and their comprehensive maintenance, which caused damage to Exportadora de Sal, SA de CV.

The sanction was notified on October 3 and the supplier was already registered in the Directory of Sanctioned Suppliers and Contractors, which means he is prevented from participating in new public contracts.

The Anti-Corruption Secretariat stressed in a statement that “the measures were issued in accordance with the law and considering the criteria of proportionality and seriousness of the offense.

“The aforementioned person has the right to challenge the resolution, and if he does so, the secretariat will firmly defend the sanction, as it was imposed in accordance with the law and in protection of the public interest.”

In parallel, the agency also announced that the company Aulis Sol, SA de CV was disqualified for one year and also sanctioned with a fine, derived from irregularities in contracts with the Mexican Social Security Institute.
