They identify the victims of the plane crash that occurred at the Paramillo airport

The authorities identified this Wednesday the two men who died in the plane accident recorded at the Paramillo airport, in San Cristóbal, Táchira state.

The accident occurred in the morning, when a private aircraft type PAY1, registration YV1443, crashed to the ground a few minutes after beginning takeoff maneuvers.

The victims were identified as José Antonio Bortones Terife, 50 years old, a pilot with more than three decades of experience and more than 10,000 flight hours, and Juan Maldonado, 47 years old, who served as co-pilot. According to sources linked to the investigation, both men – from the state of Miranda – died immediately after the impact.

Rescue teams and airport personnel immediately responded to the crash site, but found no survivors.

He National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC) activated the Civil Aviation Accident Investigative Board, which is already collecting technical information to determine the causes of the accident. So far, authorities have not confirmed whether there were mechanical failures or whether weather conditions influenced the incident.

It is expected that in the next few hours the INAC will issue an official statement with greater details about the progress of the investigations.
