The little girl, barely two years old, was called Elizabeth Meizoso.
“Take a good look at this Miguel Díaz-Canel face, take a good look at it. The life of that girl is in your hands. Another crime of the dictatorship that you pretend to direct. They have no forgiveness from God. Neither you nor those who want to cover up this crime for their miserable economic interests. One day they will pay”, wrote Pentón when sharing a photo of the girl.
Elizabeth’s grandmother, Yuneyka Gonzalez, wrote an emotional message on Facebook: “My God, you do not know how much pain you leave us in our hearts. You gave me the opportunity to live very happy moments by his side and to feel the tenderness of those rich words (MIMI), how they filled me with joy and satisfaction. It is a pity my dear granddaughter that I have to keep that beautiful whisper in my heart.
In the case of the man, it was Omar Reyes Valdés, a native of the Las Martinas town, in the Sandino municipality of Pinar del Río.
So far, the Cuban regime has not identified the survivors or the deceased, nor has it offered condolences.
