On this Sunday morning Prefecture personnel rescued the lifeless body of a man in the waters of the Río de la Platainformed Underlined and confirmed to The Observer Alejandro Chucarro, spokesman for the National Navy.
The body was found floating in the water.at the height of the Rambla República Argentina and Ejido.
After investigating his identity, it was found that he was a man who had gone sailing from Los Cilindros Beach in Santiago Vázquez.
On the afternoon of Wednesday, February 15, personnel from the Santiago Vázquez Sub-prefecture mounted an operation –by land and by water– to search for the disappearance of two people in their jurisdiction.
“One of them, according to witnesses, left in a kayak from the beach “Los cilinders” without having previously made a dispatchand did not return to shore,” a Navy statement said. “After inspecting the area, The boat was found anchored near the coast, but with no indication of its crew”.
The other man wanted by the Navy, who had disappeared in the waters below the Santa Lucía Bridge, appeared this Thursday.
