SANTO DOMINGO. – Relatives and friends of the young Alexander Sang Díaz gathered this afternoon in the Mirador Sur park, where they lit candles as a prayer for his appearance, after almost two months of disappearance without knowing anything about his whereabouts.
During the vigil, her mother Yokasta Díaz, in tears, called on the authorities to promote the approval of the Amber Alert bill, by deputy Orlando Jorge Villaga, which seeks to protect children and adolescents, as well as people who suffer from some type of cognitive disability or mental health illness, and who are reported missing.
“To legislators, I ask you to pass the Amber bill. Our disappeared need more than good intentions, and that all state institutions are synchronized so that there is contrary to our loved ones, that they do not go into oblivion, “he said.
The young man’s mother and other relatives narrated that since that May 16 they have not stopped searching and praying to God so that Alexander appears safe and sound, and thus regain the peace and tranquility that they have lost since they do not have the young man.
Yokasta Díaz also advocated that the authorities expand the unit for the disappeared with more personnel and technological resources, so that it can do a more efficient job.
