According to the Public Ministry, this case is related to the acquisition of espionage equipment, which was acquired through an Israeli company in 2012, with funds from the now-defunct National Assistance Program (PAN), and it is estimated that an amount of 13 million 475 thousand balboas, for supply, installation, training and maintenance of the machine.

The technological equipment supplied was intended for cell phone geolocation and computer intervention, said the MP.

It indicated that two of the defendants could not be located, which is why they were declared in absentia by the court, so that they later appear in the process they will be summoned to an ordinary hearing to decide their criminal responsibility, with which the statute of limitations was suspended. the criminal action.
