The Law on the Use of Digital Media will become the main tool of the justice system to provide an up-to-date service, capable of guaranteeing the dignity of the person, assured the president of the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ), Luis Henry Molina Peña .

The president of the Council of the Judiciary specified that the aforementioned legislative initiative will give life and context to cardinal principles such as speed, efficiency, effectiveness and optionality.

Molina Peña affirmed this Thursday that the regulation for the application of Law 339-22 that enables the use of digital media in the Judiciary is a source of pride and progress for the country, because through it the regulatory framework for modernization is created. of this state power.

The president of the SCJ explained this criterion during the act of publication of the regulation, where he announced the entry into force of the electronic signature so that all jurisdictional documents of the Judicial Power are made from the next 48 hours.

During the act, Molina Peña explained that by incorporating technology, the levels of transparency before the public are improved by providing real-time information on the management of the courts.

With the application of this regulation, the practical possibility of carrying forward a culture that has been tied to the transformation of the justice system in its deepest sense in which it places people at the center of the actions of justice begins.

The proposal for the Law on the Use of Digital Media in the Judiciary was prepared by the Legislative Agenda Commission of the Plenary of the SCJ, made up of, in addition to Molina Peña, magistrates Francisco Antonio Jerez, Manuel Alexis Read, Justiniano Montero Montero, Rafael Vásquez Goico, Napoleón Estévez Lavandier, Nancy Salcedo Fernández and Vanesa Acosta Peralta.

The activity was attended by the members of the Plenary of the Supreme Court of Justice, the presidents of the Justice and Human Rights Commissions of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies, Pedro Manuel Catrain and Alexis Jiménez, respectively; the legal consultant of the Executive Power, Antoliano Peralta Romero and representatives of organizations from the public and private sectors.
