They highlight the importance of more women working in technology

The co-founder and executive director of Laboratoria, Gabriela Rocha, highlighted the importance of more women working in the area of of companies.

The Laboratoria representative recalled that in 2018, a Boston Consulting Group study showed that companies with greater diversity in their leadership teams reported 19% higher profitability in innovation than other companies with less diversity.

He also stated that, when it comes to web development, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has revealed that by 2025, 1.2 million professionals will be needed in Latin America.

On the other hand, he reported that Laboratoria has already reached 3,000 graduates and is preparing to double its capacity in the coming years.

In this organization, which has a presence in Peru, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Mexico, it has achieved that between 2020 and 2021, 87% of its graduates obtained their first jobs in the technology area.

“We have an innovative, world-class bootcamp with great results in terms of learning and employability, which is helping to close the talent and gender gap in the tech sector. We know that more women working in technology means more women building the future of Latin America, so we will keep moving forward to further expand our impact”, said Gabriela Rocha.
