The Secretary of Human Rights of the Nation highlighted the “historical and cultural contribution that immigrants had and have in our country”, within the framework of the Immigrant’s Day that is commemorated this Sunday.

The National Directorate of Migration (DNM), dependent on the Ministry of the Interior, celebrates this Sunday the Festival of Collectivities at the Hotel de los Inmigrantes located at Av. Antártida Argentina 1355 in the City of Buenos Aires.
During the festivities that began this Sunday, more than 60 gastronomic stands and regional products from various countries were displayed, in addition to artistic, musical and dance shows, and a traveling exhibition of the Immigration Museum.
The activities planned for this Sunday began with the traditional Chinese dragon dance, while at 4:00 p.m. the Ballet SAT (Feeling, Soul and Tradition) will be presented at the Bolivian stand; at 4:20 p.m. at the Bollywood Dance and Güngur Ballet of Buenos Aires in India; 16.40 Spain; at 5:00 p.m. the institutional act; at 6:00 p.m. the Association of Colombian Women in Argentina (AMCA).
Meanwhile, at 6:20 p.m. there will be Bachata at the Dominican Republic stand; at 6:40 p.m. Row of drums at the Uruguay stand and Los del Fuego will close at 7:00 p.m.
Visitors will be able to taste typical dishes and drinks, as well as buy handicrafts and regional products.
For your part the DNM will exhibit the itinerant exhibition of the Immigration Museum, so that visitors can learn more about the different migratory waves that occurred in our country, as well as consult the database of the Port of Buenos Aires and take an arrival certificate of their ancestors.
The DNM recalled the provision issued by the First Triumvirate in 1812 that established the “immediate protection of individuals of all nations and their families who wish to settle in the territory.”
At the festival, different communities will perform various artistic shows and will conclude today with a recital by the Los del Fuego cumbia band.
Within the framework of the festival, some companies and organizations set up their stands, where they displayed various institutional activities and entertainment. They are: YPF, Nucleoeléctrica Argentina SA, Energía Argentina and AySA (firms that will have an 18-meter trailer displaying multiple interactive proposals); in addition to the Ministry of Culture of the Nation, and the National Registry of People (Renaper).
