With the presentation of the Chinese dance of lions, martial arts, traditional dances, traditional Chinese articles, gastronomy, prizes, instrumental music, artists and with the closure to the sound of the much-loved music of the brothers Samy and Sandra Sandoval, the Festival attendees of Spring enjoyed the celebration of the Year of the Water Tiger 2022 to the fullest.
The tour of Chinatown and the Old Town began in Salsipuedes, Avenida B and then they visited the building of the First Chinese Association and the Temple, and then resumed the route to Parque V Centenario.
This event was attended by the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Panama; the Administrator of the Tourism Authority of Panama, Iván Eskildsen; the Secretary General of the Ministry of Culture, Ismael Herrera; the Sub Secretary of the National Council of Chinese Ethnicity, Tony Jian; and authorities across the country.
During the event, tribute was paid to Chinese and Panamanian authorities, in addition to giving recognition to all those who contributed and made possible the success of this event that for the first time was called “Country Event”, since it had the support of the national government, in honor of 167 years of Chinese life in Panama.
