The Judiciary has arranged from 10 months of impediment to departure from the country to Expremier Betssy Chávez Chino, who has been investigated for the alleged crime of rebellion in the grievance of the State after the failed blow of former president Pedro Castillo in December 2022.
Through its social networks, the entity said that Supreme Judge Edhín Campos Barranzuela points out in its resolution that the measure is computed from September 12, 2025 until July 11 was 2026.
“In the process that is in oral trial there is sufficient suspicion and, therefore, it meets the evidence required to impose the impediment of exit of the country,” said the Judiciary in its social networks.
The resolution was notified to the National Superintendence of Migration for the Registry and Knowledge of the measure. It should be remembered that this was requested by the Supreme Prosecutor Zoraida Ávalos.
According to the Public Ministry, the restriction is necessary to guarantee the presence of Chávez in the oral trial faced with Castillo and other former officials.
It should be remembered that on September 3, the provisional supreme judge Juan Carlos Checkley ordered that Chávez face the process under appearance with restrictions, after considering that there was a risk of escape.
