They hack the websites of Cuban faculties with messages against the repression and Díaz-Canel

Anonymous Cuba has started the year by taking down the security of the pages of various faculties of the University of Havana and placing in them caricatures of the Cuban leaders, photographs that show episodes of repression and offensive messages against Miguel Díaz-Canel that demand the end of the dictatorship.

The pages affected are those of Psychology, Tourism, Physics, Arts and Letters, Economy, Accounting and Finance and Geography, all of them ending in .cu. The servers of some of them have already prevented access to the public, but the action can be traced in the cached pages that have been maintained by Google. “Down with the dictatorship” or “Díaz-Canel singao” are some of the slogans that could be read.

The attack takes place “as a protest against another year of dictatorship. This represents the first action of the year, showing that we are active in the fight,” says a hooded man in a broadcast video by the Digital Resistance in which they explain the reasons for this hack and publish the evidence of their intervention.

“We do not want to harm the people, only the system, and these actions constitute a protest. It is like writing a ‘down with the dictatorship’ sign in the Plaza de la Revolución”

The message encourages you to keep an eye on the group’s social networks to be informed of further actions. “Many important things are coming. Down with the dictatorship. Long live Cuba Libre,” she continues.

“They will wonder what damage this does to the regime. We do not want to harm the people, only the system, and these actions constitute a protest. It is like writing a ‘down with the dictatorship’ poster in the Plaza de la Revolución,” he adds.

The voice goes on to say that the affected pages, as governmental, but also because they belong to educational institutions, are “indoctrination centers.”

The collective’s YouTube channel has added a message in the description of the video in which they detail their fundamental message. “We want to show our young Cubans that they have to react, everything is a farce, and they are the ones who can initiate the change. They are being deceived.”

The Cuban Resistance claims to have taken down in December several more pages linked to the Government but also to the official press. In August, they also carried out one of the most shocking actions, when they leaked Sol Meliá’s management and marketing contracts, as well as thousands of emails containing customer complaints lamenting the deplorable conditions of many hotels, including the visible presence of pests. .

After that activity, the group posted a message mocking criticism of the ruling party “And now to wait for the payment from the CIA, it will be… always a donation. It would be a great help to continue, this consumes many hours and a lot of work. FIRE TO THE DICTATORSHIP,” they wrote. The tweet is pinned to his profile.
