The first district court, based in Morelia, Michoacán, granted a provisional suspension to all members of the National Association of Circuit Magistrates and District Judges (Jufed) against various judicial reform orders.
The ruling includes those that entail actions that aim to dismiss or remove the judges, force them to participate in the extraordinary electoral process of 2025 and the ordinary electoral process of 2027, as a condition to maintain their appointment
and also affect their remuneration to reduce it to an amount less than the assigned amount
to President Claudia Sheinbaum.
Unlike other suspensions, this amparo trial, which fell to Judge Sergio Santamaría Chamú, is granted in favor of more than 1,300 judges, and directly indicates that in the event of contempt of the suspension, the President, Just as any public servant will be responsible for the acts or omissions incurred in the performance of their respective functions, among other cases, for violations of the Constitution and federal laws, and will be charged and tried for treason, acts of corruption, electoral crimes and all those crimes for which any citizen could be prosecuted

To the MP if there is contempt
Emphatically, it establishes for President Sheinbaum, the members of the Congress of the Union, the INE and the Federal Judiciary Council: They are urged to refrain from violating the effects of this suspension, since, in the event that this happens, the MP will be immediately notified to initiate the corresponding investigation against those involved.

It also orders the Senate to suspend the electoral process on June 1, 2025, in which judges and magistrates will be elected by popular vote; to the Chamber of Deputies he points out that must promote what is necessary
so that they do not fit the corresponding federal laws to comply with the claimed decree
that gives effect to the judicial reform; and that in the Expenditure budgets corresponding to subsequent years must guarantee the salaries and benefits that currently govern the Jufed
