This Saturday afternoon the body of the young announcer Diana Porcel was found lifeless. According to the forensic report, the communicator died of mechanical asphyxiation due to cervical compression.
The Police and the Prosecutor’s Office are investigating the case to determine if it was a femicide –as the family suspects from the bruises found on Porcel’s body– or suicide.
Diana’s family mentioned that she had been going through a depressive picture for a long time, although the father does not rule out that it is a case of femicide. “They say it could be suicide, but why do you have bruises?”the parent told a media outlet.
Diana was 23 years old. She worked at different radio stations in the Santa Cruz capital, Radio Mix being her last source of employment.
She lived alone in a room that she rented.
