The Oruro authorities are investigating a blood event that has shocked the Coacani community. Two lifeless bodies, of a man and a woman, were andfound on the Pan-American highway between Challapata and Potosiwith penetrating wounds and bound with packing tape.
According to the autopsy reportsthe woman had 27 penetrating wounds caused by a bladed weapon, while the man had 12 injuries, also caused by a knife. The bodies were discovered last Wednesday night by a resident returning to his community. The man, who requested that his identity not be used, said he saw the bodies lying on the ground and covered in blood. He immediately alerted the police authorities.
The crime scene was processed by experts from the Technical Scientific Research Institute of the Police University (Iitcup) during the early hours of Thursday. The prosecutor in charge of the case, Fernando Montaño, explained that the bodies were partially nude and had visible puncture wounds, as well as blood stains on the spot. “According to the photographs taken by the investigator assigned to the case, it can be seen that the victims suffered very serious injuries throughout their bodies,” Montaño said.
Although those responsible for the crime have not yet been identified, it is suspected that It could be a robbery and a robbery due to the evidence found in the crime scene.
According to the first investigations, the victims were murdered elsewhere and their bodies were later taken to Coacani. The corpses were transferred to the morgue of the Genera Cemeteryl from the city of Oruro to carry out the corresponding autopsy.
