In the early hours of this Thursday, the Cerro Largo authorities found the charred body of a man inside a truck that was also on fire.
Around midnight, Police and Fire personnel attended kilometer 26,500 of Route 26, in the section that connects Melo with Río Branco. The agents moved after receiving the complaint of the presence in the area of a truck set on fire.
Upon reaching the site located next to a local road within the jurisdiction of Section 12, near Caño Amarillo, the agents found the event described. Fire personnel extinguished the flames that consumed the Volkswagen model Saverio truck and then they ran into the burned person, already lifeless.
In accordance with UnderlinedTwo boxes of medication were found near the vehicle, one of psychotropic drugs and the other of painkillers. Likewise, a fuel stain (naphtha) could be observed.
The male sex of the body was determined by forensic medical analysis. However, more tests are carried out to determine the identity of the person.
