They find the body of a young man with signs of torture in Dajabón

Hallan cadáver de un joven con signos de torturas en Dajabón

Santo Domingo.- The body of a young man found strangled on the side of the road near the community of Los Indios, belonging to the municipality of Partido, in the province of Dajabón, was lifted by the authorities.

The deceased was identified as Carlos Antonio Rodríguez, alias Marcos, about 20 years old, who lived with his mother in the La Caridad del Pavo neighborhood, in the main municipality of Dajabón.

The body of the nicknamed Marcos was lifted by the medical examiner Manuel Guzmán Tejada, accompanied by the Preventive Police, the Dicrim and representatives of the Public Ministry.

When interviewed by the media, the medical examiner reported that the murdered young man shows signs of strangulation, as well as lacerations, caused by blows and ties.

The young man’s body was taken to the morgue of the Matías Ramón Mella hospital, in Dajabón, to be sent to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif), in order to establish the exact causes of death.

The authorities opened an investigation in order to clarify the causes of the tragic event, and find the whereabouts of the perpetrators; It is presumed that it was a settling of accounts.
