They find the bodies of a couple in a rented room in Bejuco

The bodies of a couple were found in a rented room located in the Pueblo Nuevo de Bejuco sector in the Chame district.

Unofficially, it was reported that the first evidence indicated that it would be a femicide and subsequent suicide, although the investigations have barely begun.

Both bodies had foam at the mouth, so it is not ruled out that the deaths would be caused by some type of toxic substance.

Units of the National Police and experts from the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences (Imelcf), arrived at the scene, carried out the procedure to remove the body and then sent it to the judicial morgue where the autopsy examination will be carried out to determine the injuries that caused his death after the fatal run over.

It will be up to the authorities to determine what happened in the rented room.

One of the first reactions to this femicide was that of the director of the National Women’s Institute (Inamu), Nelly Herrera, who indicated that “she murders her and commits suicide. We need a society willing to build peace together.”

He affirmed that this case shows the need for organizations that from the communities help us build peace, deconstructing models of violent society is a challenge and will take years, the only way is a society willing to change for the future of our sons and daughters .

He added that the province of West Panama maintains high levels of violence.
