A total of 15 restaurants presented an anomaly in compliance with sanitary provisions. This was confirmed by the Public Health authorities of the Metropolitan region that carried out a verification operation of compliance with sanitary regulations in the Seafood Market.
The staff carried out the confiscation of decomposing products, for which the respective citation for sanction was applied as established by the health regulations.
Among the most recurrent deficiencies found in the operations are the lack of a valid food handler’s card (white and green), grease traps without maintenance, in addition to bad odors.
The authorities stressed that these verification operations and compliance with health regulations are regular and are intended to guide, correct and protect the health of the population.
