In the security zone of the Macagua Hydroelectric Power Plant, the bodies of young people Alexander Alvarado (15) and Ashleiker Ríos (17) were found dead, who went jogging along Pedro Palacios Herrera Avenue on December 15 and did not return home.
After an intense 7-day search, relatives, neighbors and security forces made a tour of different wooded areas, as well as the jogging route without positive results, making the case of regional interest and adding more people to the search for the cousins.
The bodies of the victims were seen in the river near the retaining wall by Corpoelec officials, who notified the relatives and Cicpc to carry out the respective survey.
Unofficially and through the use of clothing familiar to the victims, they identified the missing young people but it will be at the Cicpc headquarters where all the pertinent protocols will be carried out, as well as the official recognition of the bodies, including the causes of the deaths.
