They find a torso in the waters of the southern rambla of Montevideo

On the morning of this Thursday, the Montevideo authorities lifted the torso of a person who was floating on the waters of the Río de la Plata, at the height of the Rambla Sur.

The sighting occurred around 9:00 in the morning. The personnel of the Prefecture and the Police appeared on the site after people sighted the remains.

The officials of the Prefecture of Trouville appeared on the site, in the Rambla Argentine Republicat the height of Paraguay street.

The officials removed the human remains, which are presumed to be from a man. The white tes torso was alone, without any object around it and all limbs were missing.

The Prosecutor’s Office assigned the Homicide Prosecutor Adriana Edelman to take charge of the case. The Scientific Police carried out several skills and are working to identify the people and establish the circumstances of their death.

According to sources, the authorities presume that the body had been floating in the water for several days. The video surveillance cameras arranged in the area are reviewed to see if any clues are obtained that will allow elucidating what happened.
