Residents of Barinitas, Bolívar municipality in the state of Barinas, discovered a newborn baby in the vicinity of the soccer field in the Bella Vista sector.
The baby was found early Sunday morning in a state of abandonment by people passing by the place.
After the incident they reported to the authorities, transferring the little girl to the Nuestra Señora del Carmen hospital, where she received medical attention.
Subsequently, she was transferred to the Dr. Samuel Darío Maldonado Maternal and Child Hospital. The doctors performed the respective check-up and the baby is in perfect condition.
The medical team named her Barbara and presume that she is approximately one day old.
Upon learning about the case through the media, several people brought clothes to the healthcare center.
