The Forces of the Fire Department in Pinar del Río found the 11-year-old boy Yadiel González Macías dead on Tuesday, public Tele Pinar on Facebook. “The body of the infant was found 12 meters from the shore at a depth of four meters in the El Pitirre 1 micro-dam.”
The minor, reported missing since Monday afternoon, had gone out to bathe a horse, according to a post of the Provincial Directorate of Housing of Pinar del Río. After the “neighbors found the drowned animal” the search began in which members of the Ministry of the Interior, relatives and inhabitants of Las Carabelas, a rural settlement belonging to the Bacunagua People’s Council, in the municipality of Los Palacios, participated.

In a brief report, the official media did not offer details about the causes of the infant’s death, however, the official journalist Lisandra Diaz Rey He pointed out on his social networks that Yadiel González had been found “drowned”.
Yadiel’s disappearance brought to mind the story of Yunior Yoel Verde Rodriguezwho in October 2021 got lost after going out with some neighbors to hunt birds in the Vega de San José, located in the mountainous area of San Simón de las Cuchillas in the province itself.
Verde Rodríguez, a resident of the Urban Popular Council, was located two days later in the surroundings of the San Juan y Martínez dam with symptoms of dehydration.
