They find a body in the cistern of a park in Granma

MADRID, Spain.- A body was found this Wednesday in the cistern of Céspedes Park, located in the Manzanillo municipality, Granma province.

In photos and videos shared by users of social networks, the arrival of the municipal authorities to the place can be seen, who cordoned off the perimeter and then extracted the body from the tank; to the astonishment of the manzanilleros.

“Death is the law of life, but it will never cease to surprise us. EPD for this person who was found this morning inside the cistern at Parque Céspedes de Manzanillo. Please, it is not time to criticize or create gossip, just to wish him a Rest in peace and may the Lord have him in his holy Glory, ”he wrote in Facebook Michel Verdecia, one of the Internet users who posted a video of the moment the body was removed.

For his part, the activist Magdiel Jorge Castro, from Twitter He pointed out: “As if that were not enough, they found a corpse in the cistern of Céspedes Park in Manzanillo… the very center of the city.”

According to the comments, the bad smell of the decomposing body alerted the workers cleaning the park, who were the ones who found it.

Until the time of writing this note, no details were known about the identity of the deceased person.

It is not the first time that events like this transcend in Cuba. In April 2019, the official press confirmed the find of a decomposing body in a drinking water tank at the Iván Portuondo hospital in San Antonio de los Baños.

While in June 2015 police authorities They found the head of a corpse next to the bones of a body in a cistern that supplied drinking water to some 30 families in the town of Reparto Eléctrico, municipality of Arroyo Naranjo.
