Josimar López, was dragged last Tuesday June 7 by a head of water when he tried to cross the flow of the Norteño River in the company of his mother and brother.
After 72 searches, the Joint Task Force, led by the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) located the body of the missing 9-year-old minor in the Norteño River in the Ngäbe Buglé Comarca.

After three days of intense search, the minor was found dead in the Punta Róbalo sector, district of Chiriquí Grande in Bocas del Toro.
Faced with this unfortunate fact, the director of Civil Protection in Bocas del Toro, Harlo Whylesasked the population to take the necessary precautions during the rainy season and avoid crossing rivers or streams when it is raining.
